Well... the season has come to an end for all of the
teams. The girls varsity lost their first round state game on Saturday
and the boys jv lost their second round state game on Sunday. Please
join me on CONGRATULATING ALL of our teams on GREAT seasons.
On behalf of the coaches and players we THANK all of you - parents,
friends, extended family members, staff, those who just wanted to come
and see our teams play - for supporting the basketball program. I hope
you enjoyed all that you saw and will return and support the program
next season.
I would also like to THANK all of the coaches for volunteering countless
hours to the program. Your commitment is greatly appreciated.
One more Thank You and that is to the cheerleaders for coming out on
many nights and supporting the teams with great cheers and
half time dances.
You girls did a GREAT JOB and we hope to see you back next year.
I would like to commend the 8th graders on a great season and wish them
GOOD LUCK on their future endeavors and never forget the ST. Chris
Cougars.
Thanks again everyone and I hope to see you supporting other St. Chris
activities this year!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the JV boys on a GREAT season!!! The
team completed the season as tournament champions and 2nd place in the
league championship game. St. Chris lost by only 4 points after being
down 11 in the first half of last nights championship game. What a
great game it was!!!
St. Chris is 2nd seat in the state tournament - for the girls
varsity AND boys jv teams!!!
The state tournament schedule for both teams is as follows:
Girls varsity game at 12:30, Saturday, 3/6, at St. Brigids School in
West Hartford.
Address is 100 Mayflower Street (Elmwood section).
Boys jv game at 3:15 also on Saturday, 3/6, at St. Brigids in West
Hartford. Address is 100 Mayflower Street (elmwood section).
If the girls win, the next game is Sunday, 3/7, at 4:00 at St.
Bridgids. If the boys win, the next game is Sunday, 3/7, at North
End Rec. in Waterbury.

St. Chris has the best fans in the area. Let's continue to show the
same support and more to everyone on the STATE LEVEL!!!

Chris family -
TONIGHT, 3/3, is the JV Boys Deanery League
Championship game vs. St. James Gold. The game is at St.
Rose at 7:00. A previous email indicated the game is at St.
Bridget however that has CHANGED.
As you already know the JV boys are the 2010 Deanery Tournament
CHAMPIONS. Come out and support the team as we seek to be the 2010
LEAGUE CHAMPIONS as well.
St. Chris family:
The final home game for the season was held on Friday. The jv boys were
crowned 2010 Deanery Tournament Champs. and the varsity boys won a nail
biter overtime game. Both games were intense and a joy to watch.
THANK YOU for your support of BOTH programs. As the season progressed,
there was an increase in the number of people to the games. I really
feel that all who came to the games enjoyed themselves!!!
Next up for boys jv is the league championship game on Wednesday, 3/3,
at 7:00 at St. Bridgets. This will determine 1st and 2nd seat in the
state tournament. The state tournament will be next weekend.
The varsity girls have advanced to the state tournament and their
tournament begins next weekend as well.
The exact days and times are tbd. I hope the the support received
during the season will continue to the league championship game on
Wednesday as well as the tournament.
Again, thank you for your support and CONGRATULATIONS to all of the
teams for a great season and the cheerleaders for cheering on the
teams!
