We love because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19

Our Catholic identity is very important to our school community. While we spread Christ’s message in all that we do, students of other faiths appreciate the common themes that connect to their beliefs as well. Students learn to love others through lessons such as:

  • developing an appreciation and respect for the Church

  • becoming kind and compassionate people as they live out the Ten Commandments and strive to become Christ-bearers

  • demonstrating an understanding of the personal choices and moral consequences in literature and applying this to their own lives by making connections.

  • connecting concepts and skills learned in science with their responsibilities as Catholics towards all of creation.

  • understanding the importance of treating others fairly and with respect and dignity

  • doing for others while expecting nothing in return

“…whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”

    Matthew 25:40

Let the wise hear and increase in learning

Proverbs 1:5

Saint Christopher School is committed to both academic excellence and Christian values. Pride and confidence in one’s work is emphasized and individual effort is commended. Students make progress through a consistent work ethic along with careful instruction from the teachers. A variety of resources are used for the best instruction possible. Technology is used as a tool to safely access the various educational material on the internet. A student who is learning with enthusiasm will:

  • develop an understanding and fluency of basic math facts

  • use reading strategies to go beyond the text and apply higher order thinking

  • demonstrate an understanding of significant events in local, national, global, and international events both past and present

  • use a variety of strategies in written language to inform, persuade, explain, and share real or imagined experiences in order to communicate effectively to different audiences for different reasons

  • be curious, make predictions and draw conclusions

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
